Today’s verse talks about the fight of faith it is the only fight that we should fight as a believer.  And the only way there can be a fight is if there are enemies of our faith. If there were no enemies to faith, there would be no fight.  The forces of darkness are at work trying to create questions, worry, doubt and fear  that if not resisted will destroy your faith .   That is why faith is a fight, but it is a fight you should win.  You need to resist and even rebuke thoughts of worry, doubt and fear, knowing they originate with the evil one. Stay focused on the Word.  God is faithful and His Word is true.” Don’t allow negative thoughts to take hold in you mind. You have authority over what you think. The Bible tells you what to think about in Philippians 4:8. Notice our text calls it a “good fight” a good fight is one you win.  The fight is a fixed fight.  It’s fixed in that God guarantees you’ll win if you’ll faithfully apply His Word to your situation.  Put some pressure on His Word in your life.  The Word can take it.  Satan can’t.  Stay in faith. Come out swinging with the Word of God coming out of your mouth.  Fight the good fight of faith and you’re guaranteed victory.  (The next two days I will be sharing 2 more faith nuggets for a life of faith)

He is God

He Is God

” He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;   I will be exalted among the nations,   I will be exalted in the earth.”  Psalms 46:10

He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!
He is the Architect of the universe and
The Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and He always will be…
Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can’t understand him,
The armies can’t defeat Him,
The schools can’t explain Him, and
The leaders can’t ignore Him.
Herod couldn’t kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him, and
The people couldn’t hold Him!
Nero couldn’t crush Him,
Hitler couldn’t silence Him,
The New Age can’t replace Him, and
Dr. Phil can’t explain Him away!
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.
He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.
His ways are right,
His word is eternal,
His will is unchanging, and
His mind is on me.
He is my Redeemer,
He is my Savior,
He is my guide, and
He is my peace!
He is my Joy,
He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and
He rules my life!
I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light, and
His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
The power of the powerful,
The ancient of days, the ruler of rulers,
The leader of leaders, the overseer of overcomers, and
The sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.
And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size.
His goal is a relationship with ME!
He will never leave me,
Never forsake me,
Never mislead me,
Never forget me,
Never overlook me, and
Never cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face Death, He carries me Home!
He is everything for everybody, everywhere,
Every time, and every way.
I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world.
So, if you’re wondering why I feel so secure, understand this…
He said it and that settles it.
I am on His side, and
That means all is well with my soul.
He is faithful and
HE IS GOD!!!!!

Breakthrough

Breakthrough the Barriers in Life

Breakthrough to a new dimension in life!  Breakthrough to another level in purpose!  Breakthrough the barriers holding you back!  You can “breakthrough” whatever is keeping you from moving forward.  Life can be filled with disappointments, setbacks and barriers, however,  God can help you breakthrough those obstacles and live a life of victory.

God has a plan for your life.  His plan is good and His plan is to prosper you and not harm you.  (Jeremiah 29:11).  Jesus said, “He came to give you life and life more abundantly.”  (John 10:10).  He also, warned  that there would be opposition, trials and tribulations in this world but, He said, “be of good cheer because He overcame them all.“  (John 16:33)  That means in Christ you can overcome the trials and tribulations in your life, you can experience breakthrough.

You can -

  • breakthrough financial barriers
  • breakthrough marriage and relationship problems
  • breakthrough any “lid” holding you back
  • breakthrough other setbacks in life
  • breakthrough failures and disappointments

Why Do Bad Things Happen

Help

If God is good then the question asked by many is, “Why do bad things happen and why would a good God allow bad things? It is an excellent question and a legitimate question. However, there is an incorrect assumption made by most Christians and non Christians alike that create and cause most of the confusion, and that is the belief that “God is in Control”. This is the position many people take or at least espouse. However, God is not in control in the sense that most people think. God is sovereign and He is creator of the universe and He has a master plan that ultimately will be carried out, but He does not control the lives of people and events. He has delegated some of His authority and power and allows people freedom of choice.
Let me explain. When God created the human race, He put them in control. He gave them “free will”, the ability to make their own choices. Mankind was given authority (control) in the earth. (Genesis 1:26) However, when Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God mankind lost their control to Satan and corruption came into the earth that affected all of creation. To illustrate, it is like a landlord giving you a lease on a piece of property and that lease then gives you complete control over that property. Then you sublease it to another who then has the control over the property. God leased the earth to mankind and Adam then subleased it to Satan. This was not God’s plan. If God was in control He would have immediately stopped that transaction.
Everything changed at that moment when Adam lost dominion to Satan. Death, disease, and sin all entered into the earth. The human race and the earth itself were cursed. Man had lost dominion and now Satan became the god of this world. 2Corinthians 4:4 Satan had control.
However, God had a plan. Remember, God is still God and He is all knowing, all powerful, and omnipresent. He knows the beginning from the end. He has control of the overall plan and I can guarantee you in the end He wins. He knew mankind was going to mess up so He had a plan in place. His plan was a plan of redemption for man and to get control back from Satan. God’s plan was His son Jesus. The Bible, Genesis to Revelation, is really the story of Gods plan of reconciling mankind back to Him through Jesus.
Jesus, the Son of God, came into this world first to “seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10) and second to, “Destroy the works of the devil“ (1John 3:8). Jesus fulfilled His purpose. He acknowledged His work was complete when on the cross, He shouted out “It is finished“. (John 19:30) He had saved the world and destroyed the works of Satan. Colossians 2:15 tells us, “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” In other word Jesus took back control from Satan.Jesus then delegated that authority (control) to the church. The church being the people who believe in Jesus. We as Christians now have the power and authority to rule in this world. We have control. God has given us power of attorney to take authority in this world. We are to be submitted to the authority and Lordship of Jesus as we exercise that authority. We don’t have control over people but over the spiritual atmosphere and environment. Jesus put it this way in Matthew 18:19, “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Satan is still loose in the atmosphere of this world and He goes about trying to deceive people in order to steal, kill and destroy. So, there are dynamics in place that allow evil and works of darkness to happen where the church does not exercise it’s authority. The main point to understand is God is not in control of all that happens in the earth. So, that opens the door for several different sources to have influence in this world that can cause bad things to happen. In fact there are four main sources of the bad things that happen in the world today:

1 ) The Works of Darkness – this includes Satan and demonic forces
2) fallen earth – this includes the environment, storms, nature, etc
3) Other people – individuals, groups, political activity, nations, etc
4) Our own actions – this includes mistakes, bad decisions, wrong choices, failures, etc

I Need Help – God Help Me

When in the middle of challenging situations the cry of many is “I need help – God help me!. Even those who may have never given God much thought call out to Him for help when confronted with difficulties that look impossible.

 

God Help Me!

Usually there are two questions that are asked by those calling on God for help. The first is, “Will God answer my cry for help?” The second question asked by those crying out to God for help is, “Why me God?“ In other words they think God is to blame for their problem. They assume God is punishing them for some reason, why else would this be happening.

You may be facing a desperate situation and asking these very questions. You are not alone. Trials and tribulations are part of life. No one is exempt from facing obstacles and problems.  So, will God help you and is He causing the problem?.

There is help for every problem.  You may be facing a negative medical diagnosis. You may have just lost your job. Your spouse may have just left you. You may be facing a mountain of bills and no way to pay them. You may be facing a legal challenge that looks impossible. You may be addicted and there seems to be no hope. You may be gripped with fear and anxiety. Whatever problem you are facing the only true source of lasting help is the Lord.

God is not your problem. God has not abandoned you and He has not singled you out, no matter how you feel right now.  God is not behind your problems.  In fact He is for you and the one who will help no matter what you are going through.  Don’t blame God.  Run to God.  He has promised to see you through and give you the strength and the direction you need.

There is help from the Lord. I want encourage to continue to cry out to God for help. If you are in a difficult situation and you need help God is a great source for help. God wants you to know that He understands how you feel, that He knows more about your situation than you do, and that He saw it coming before you did. Above all,  The reality is – God is for you. He is not against you.  GOD IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM
